IMPERIAL RETURNS AS MAINSTAGE PARTNER AT ATC CULTURAL FESTIVAL, BRINGING LOGAN STAATS AND MORGAN TONEY TO THE STAGE FOR TWO CONCERT NIGHTS

(Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, AB, Treaty 8 –July 11, 2024)—The Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) is delighted to announce that Imperial will be returning to sponsor the mainstage at the ATC Cultural Festival. This is Imperial’s third year supporting the mainstage, which showcases Indigenous artists and musicians through the weekend-long festival.
"I’m pleased to see Imperial once again take an active role in bringing amazing Indigenous talent to the stage,” said Chief Allan Adam, President of the Athabasca Tribal Council and Chief of Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. “The mainstage entertainment is always a highlight of the Festival and a big hit with the community. I'm looking forward to welcoming this year's performers to the stage!”
Both Friday and Saturday nights are Concert Nights at the ATC Cultural Festival. With no admission fee, everyone is welcome to enjoy the amazing lineup of Indigenous talent!
From Six Nations in Ontario, Juno nominee, Native American Music Award winner, and winner of CTV’s ‘The Launch’ in 2018, Logan Staats will headline Friday night at the Festival. The night will also feature local rap group A.B.O. from Fort McKay First Nation, getting the crowd pumping. The evening will start out with the return of the Indigenous Fashion Show curated by Geraldine Carriere from Cumberland House Cree Nation. The Fashion Show will highlight the local artistry along with models from the region's Indigenous communities.
Saturday night’s concert will feature headliner Morgan Toney from Wagmatcook First Nation in Nova Scotia. His unique sound celebrates Indigenous language and heritage. Opening for Morgan Toney will be Juno Award winners The Bearhead Sisters from Paul First Nation in Treaty 6 and local favourites Nicely Put Together.
